Start Your Day With A Glass of Sunshine

Depending on where you live, you might still be craving springtime.

Or, if you live in the southern hemisphere you probably are already moving into fall.

Regardless of which season you are welcoming, I’m sure you get me when I tell you I how much I miss this fresh, bright kind of green that only springtime offers.

(Except, of course, in Ireland. If you are lucky enough to live there, you are you blessed with springtime green all year round.)

Every year as springtime approaches, I want to dive in and immerse myself in this green.

One way to do it: Use the grasses and the herbs for your morning smoothie or juice. That’s what I do.

Every day around 6.30 a.m., you will find me gathering wild herbs and grasses from my garden. I put them in my juicer together with pineapple or beets or carrots or whatever.

I feel good and clean after my little morning ritual.

I believe so much in this morning ritual, that I assign it as the first exercise for my one-on-one coaching clients.

Here’s the secret: You should enjoy your freshly squeezed juice or smoothie every morning BEFORE you drink coffee or tea, and even before you eat.

For optimum results, I recommend you allow digestion to kick in; it will take approximately 20 to 30 minutes for your juice to move through your digestive tract.

Recently, one of my patients said, “You know, I feel like I drink the sun.”

What a beautiful way to put it.
